Unicaja has collaborated with the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of León in the organization of a seminar to update the latest trends in e-commerce, held yesterday with the participation of Ecommerce News and ALECE (E-commerce Association of León). E-commerce brings together more than 300 companies in the province of León, generating some 2,000 direct jobs and a turnover of more than 300 million euros.

The opening event was attended by the mayor of León, José Antonio Diez, and the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Javier Vega. On behalf of Unicaja, the regional manager of Castilla y León Norte, Marga Serna, attended the event.

After the success of the two previous editions, the Chamber has redoubled its efforts to consolidate a meeting that has become a reference in Castilla y León, as a meeting point for experts in e-commerce, to analyze challenges and trends, and to talk about the importance of digital media, growth in sales, customer interaction and aspects related to logistics. The aim is to help entrepreneurs to make a strategic plan in this area.

This event, held at the Museo Diocesano y de la Semana Santa with around 300 participants, was aimed at owners of traditional shops, entrepreneurs, students and those professionals involved in the development of e-commerce projects.

During the different sessions of the day, there were expert speakers in different fields, who spoke about the transformation of commerce and their experience in ecommerce, as well as explaining the tools and innovations available to virtual commerce.
