The Business Owners Association of Southern Spain (CESUR), with the collaboration of Unicaja, has highlighted this Thursday, with the delivery of the fifth edition of the Business Awards of Southern Spain (PEC Awards), the good work, innovation and social commitment of entrepreneurs in Andalusia, Extremadura, Ceuta and Melilla.

Business owners and managers from 300 companies gathered at this gala, held in Madrid, which awarded the Cordoba firm Ximénez Group as Best Ambassador Company of Southern Spain; Federico Linares, president of EY Spain, as Best Executive Ambassador of Southern Spain; the singer Raphael, from Jaén, as Best Universal Ambassador of Southern Spain, and Telefónica as the Company that most supports Southern Spain, an award that was presented by the president of Unicaja, José Sevilla.

As a new feature, this edition has included a new category, called Best Entrepreneurial Initiative Award of Southern Spain, with which CESUR wanted to recognize the implementation and consolidation of entrepreneurial projects that have become a reality. The company Komvida from Badajoz has been chosen by the jury to receive this award.

Support to the business sector

Unicaja's collaboration with these awards responds to its commitment to the business sector. In fact, the company continues to be one of the main groups in the financing policy of the entity, and therefore remains active in supporting their initiatives, crucial for the revitalization of the economy and job creation.

Unicaja's objective is to favor the business fabric and facilitate the economic promotion in the areas where it operates, with special attention to Andalusia and Extremadura, which are among its regions of origin.

The jury of the PEC Awards was made up of personalities from the economic and social sphere in Spain, such as the members of the board of directors of CESUR, the institutional partners of the awards (Unicaja, Junta de Andalucía, Junta de Extremadura, Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio and IES) and heads of media groups such as Atresmedia, COPE, El Español, El Confidencial, Europa Press, Grupo Joly, Grupo Prisa and RTVA.

The fifth edition of the PEC Awards has Unicaja, IESE, the Andalusian Regional Government, the Government of Extremadura and UAX as institutional collaborators. In addition, among its sponsors are Grupo Azvi, Fundación Cajasol and Mutuactivos, and as collaborators, Grupo MAS, Edison Next and Trops.

The winners of this fifth edition join the list of companies and personalities recognized with these awards for their involvement in showing the reality of Andalusia, Extremadura, Ceuta and Melilla as modern, professional, innovative, technological, capable and attractive regions.
