Unicaja Banco participates one more year in Feria Salamaq (Salamaq Trade Fair), which takes place in Salamanca until today, 5 September, and which has received several tens of thousands of visitors from the primary sector. This year the bank has sought to raise awareness among farming professionals about the growing importance of agricultural insurance, in the face of increasingly adverse and frequent weather phenomena caused by climate change.
In a lecture given on 1 September by Sheila Diéguez Vallejo, Head of Agricultural Business of the insurance company CASER, emphasis was placed on the growing need for farmers and livestock breeders to protect themselves against possible weather risks (especially hailstorms, floods and drought), and she reviewed the benefits and features of the different types of insurance marketed by Unicaja Banco, specifically designed to cover these atmospheric risks.
Additionally, Mr. Emiliano Janez Rodríguez, Area Manager in Castilla y León of Sociedad Anónima Estatal de Caución Agraria (SAECA), referred to the different lines of guarantees subscribed by this entity, which are available through Unicaja Banco’s branches. In this sense, he described the new subsidies for the drought provided by the Ministry of Agriculture and by the Regional Government of Castilla y León, and informed about how to apply for such aids.
Unicaja Banco's stand at Salamaq 2023, of 60 square meters, has once again welcomed visitors to publicize the wide range of products specifically offered by the bank, leader in the sector in Salamanca and Castilla y León. These products include agricultural insurance, loans for agricultural machinery, agricultural credit account, Univerde card or CAP advances.
