Unicaja Banco supports business owners in Salamanca and analyzes in a forum the prospects for the business fabric

As part of its support for the business world, Unicaja Banco, together with Caser, sponsored a forum in Salamanca, organized by Management Activo, in which, under the title 'Economic Prospects for the Business Fabric' (Perspectivas Económicas para el Tejido Empresarial), the economic and social challenges that must be faced today were analyzed.

 

The event, called 'Dialogues for Development' ('Diálogos para el Desarrollo'), took place on 9 June at Casino de Salamanca, with the participation as speakers of the Professor of Applied Economics and at the University Pablo de Olavide (Seville) and at IE Business School, José María O’Kean, and of the university professor Juan Ramón Rallo.

 

This business lunch brought together representatives of the economic and social life of Salamanca and during its development, the economic and social situation in Spain, Europe and the world was analyzed, covering issues such as the great challenges ahead, especially in the business field.

In his speech, the Professor of Applied Economics, José María O’Kean, referred to the proposals made by the business community and its viability in volatile economic environments, as well as to the business strategies for the creation of value for new consumers.

 

In that line, the economist Juan Ramón Rallo explained the challenges of overcoming the pandemic for the productive fabric, as well as the imbalances generated in the short term, such as inflation, and public over-indebtedness, caused by long-term instability. 

 

The two speakers also discussed Europe's position in the face of a multipolar policy that is forcing the continent to rewrite the rules of the economy and the reinvention of business in the digital world.

 

They also talked about the use of the European Next Generation funds, which will allow boosting the economic and social recovery, emphasizing the commitment to the "industrialization of digitization" and improving the productivity of companies.

 

Finally, both O’Kean and Rallo addressed the challenges and opportunities for the local business fabric of Salamanca, analyzing its strengths and proposing alternatives to its weaknesses.

 

Dialogues for Development’ is a discussion forum that aims to promote debate through two renowned personalities, who, from different points of view, address current topics, thus encouraging the exchange of opinions. To this end, speakers from the political, economic, social and business world will be invited.
