Unicaja Banco supports one more year, as main sponsor, the 39th San Silvestre Toledana Popular, which will take place on 31 December with an expected participation of 4,800 runners. The 8k race will run through the city’s main streets, including Toledo’s historic center, with start and finishing line in Calle del Cardenal Talavera.

This new edition of the race was presented on Thursday at the hall of Castilla-La Mancha Library, in Toledo, at an event attended by José Gutiérrez, Representative of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports; Pablo García, Councilor for Sports at Toledo’s City Council; José Antonio Saldaña, from C.D. Amigos del Atletismo, and José María Cortés, Unicaja Banco’s Regional Manager for South Toledo.

The senior race will start at 18:00, while the young ones will start from 16:00, with different courses according to the category.

At this edition, all runners will receive again a finisher medal when they reach the finishing line. For three editions -beginning in 2019 race- tribute has been paid with a medal to each of the race’s starting places (Plaza del Ayuntamiento, Zocodover and Puerta de Bisagra). Thus, in the next edition and with the three medals together in the display that will be then delivered, it will be possible to form the logo of the race.

C.D. Amigos del Atletismo, as the race organizers, have paid special attention to all the security and health measures and, in addition to sanitizing gel for hands cleaning, masks will be compulsory both to access the starting area and at the finishing line.

Likewise, regarding the safety of participants, the bib’s back will feature information on how to act in the event of accident during the race.

For the proper development of the race, the organization insists on the need to participate only if duly registered and, therefore, continues to promote the campaign 'Not without a bib'.

Bibs can be collected during the Feria del Corredor, at Rafael del Pino Arena on 28 December, from 10.00 to 21.00 horas, and on 29 December from 10.00 to 14.00. Further information: https://sansilvestretoledana.es/.
