Unicaja Banco has renewed its collaboration with Club Deportivo Alba Fundación Femenino, remaining as main sponsor of the club’s youth teams, thanks to an agreement materialized through Fundación Impulsa CLM. With this support, the bank wants to contribute to the promotion of sport activities, with special focus on grassroot and women’s sport. The regional, under-14, under-12, under-10 and under-8 teams of the club include the name and image of Unicaja Banco on their kits for the present season.
The following have attended the presentation of the agreement: the regional Deputy Minister for Culture and Sports, Ana Vanesa Muñoz; the Director General of Youth and Sports, Carlos Alberto Yuste; the Coordinator of the Women’s Section at the Club, María José Carrilero and, by Unicaja Banco, the Head of Business and SMEs at Castilla-La Mancha, Antonio Hugo Martínez, and the Deputy Manager of Albacete’s main branch, Rafael Romero. The event has been held at Ciudad Deportiva Andrés Iniesta in Albacete, where a representation of women players the youth teams of Fundación Albacete were also present.
At the event, the work philosophy shared by the three institutions and the sporting and inclusive values when training the players were highlighted. Fundación Albacete, which has about a hundred players, has five categories: Regional, Under-14, Under-12, Under-10 and Under-8. It is a reference club in regional women's football and its first team is currently playing in Spain Women's Second Division.
Promotion of sports values and inclusion through sport
The work of Fundación Albacete Femenino with the youth teams is focused on bringing sport closer to younger girls, but it also intends to promote the best sport values and, in this line, to teach discipline, enthusiasm, healthy rivalry, teamwork, fair play, passion, respect and humbleness.
With the support to these teams, Unicaja Banco shows its commitment to sport and to the promotion of its values in Castilla-La Mancha, and also to inclusive education through sports, under the framework of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
