Leon City Council and Unicaja Banco will collaborate in the Spanish MTB Ultramarathon Championship (MMR Power Race León), which will be held on 23 October. The Mayor, José Antonio Diez, and the Councillor for Internal Regime, Mobility and Sports, Vicente Canuria, have welcomed Unicaja Banco’s Regional Manager, Margarita Serna, and Ana Carral, Commercial Manager of the bank in Leon, to close the collaboration between both institutions.

The agreement includes the support to the promotion of sports in Leon through the event Spanish MTB Ultramarathon Championship, which will take place in Leon on 23 October, with the participation of some 700 cyclists, including elite and amateur riders. This is the most important race of the year at a national level and for this sporting modality.

‘These MTB races are for all amateur riders who seek to surpass themselves and live a unique experience’, according to the organizers, ‘and the route will allow them to test their endurance, while enjoying the stunning views of Leon’. This year, two courses have been selected, one of 165 km and one of 78 km long.

Unicaja Banco’s Regional Manager has reminded the bank’s collaboration with the initiatives of institutions, businesses and groups to boost the development of Leon.
