Unicaja Banco, after having recently completed the merger with Liberbank, has become Real Madrid CF’s official bank, and it kicks off the new season as a financial services provider and sponsor of the Madrid club.

This commercial alliance includes making Unicaja Banco the exclusive financial institution sponsor in Spain, under the agreement entered into between Liberbank and Real Madrid last year.

The continuity of this agreement will strengthen its scope in light of the increased size of the institution resulting from the merger, both in terms of customers and geographical coverage and in other areas of its financial activity, with the subsequent advantages for current and future customers and Real Madrid fans.

Additionally, the agreement with Real Madrid will allow Unicaja Banco to improve its brand awareness, as well as to attract new audiences through the club’s digital reach.

As a continuation of the commercial relation held so far by Liberbank, Unicaja Banco will work with Real Madrid on designing new financial products aimed at the club’s funs, such as the existing Real Madrid Card and Mortgage, which remain in force and will continue to be sold through the financial institution’s platforms and will soon be available in the regions of origin of Unicaja Banco.

Likewise, new promotions, draws and exclusive experiences will be created for the bank’s customers across all club sections, both men’s and women’s football and basketball teams, with special attention paid to members and fans.

Exclusive benefits

Over the last season, Real Madrid fans had the chance to enjoy exclusive advantages, such as the draw of signed jerseys, official products, discounts and access to virtual meetings with Real Madrid legends and current players. If the health situation so allows it, those experiences could be more accessible this season.

The continuity of the commercial alliance between Unicaja Banco and Real Madrid, for a second consecutive season, will also see the bank’s support to women’s sport. In fact, last year it became, through Liberbank, founding sponsor of Real Madrid women’s football team.

The merger under which Unicaja Banco has absorbed Liberbank, completed on 30 July, results in the creation of the fifth-largest bank in the Spanish financial system in terms of volume of assets, with a broad and diversified presence across the country and being the leading bank in six autonomous regions, with a sound and healthy balance sheet.
