Unicaja and the la Asociación Provincial de Agricultores y Ganaderos (APAG) of Guadalajara have signed an agreement to improve the financial conditions of the province’s farmers and livestock breeders in a new CAP campaign. In this way, they will benefit from the agricultural organisation’s expertise in managing subsidy applications and will be able to access advance payments of the aid thanks to Unicaja.

The aim is to make day-to-day life easier for professionals in rural areas, both by helping them manage their aid and by providing them with the necessary liquidity. This was highlighted during the signing of the agreement by the president of APAG Guadalajara, Juan José Laso, and Unicaja’s regional manager, Jesús López Martínez.

In this way, APAG members will be able to rely on the agricultural organisation’s full guarantees and expertise in managing CAP applications, and benefit from an advance on the subsidy by having their aid paid directly into Unicaja, which also offers special terms on its products and services for this group.

In addition, the bank offers farmers, amongst other products, specialised financing for olive groves and vineyards, with specific features designed to meet the needs of these types of crops.

€1,000 million for the 2026 financial year

Unicaja is reinforcing its long-standing commitment to the agricultural sector by making €1,000 million in pre-approved financing available to farmers and livestock breeders for this financial year. Through this initiative, the bank provides these professionals with the necessary liquidity in a streamlined manner to cover routine expenses and ensure the day-to-day operation of thousands of farms.

The financing facilities, in the form of loans and overdraft facilities, are intended for the 2026 Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) season and for intensive crops, and aim to provide immediate liquidity to enable them to manage their campaigns with confidence.

Unicaja’s commitment to ongoing support for the agricultural sector is reflected in the provision of financial, protection and advisory services, as well as the continuous development of specialised products and services tailored to the sector.
