Unicaja Banco has set a special credit facility for those affected by the strong rains registered in the last weeks in the province of Malaga.

For that purpose, Unicaja Banco and Diputación de Málaga (Malaga Provincial Council) have signed today a protocol to establish a collaboration framework to make up for the damage caused by the rains.

 

This initiative, in line with the general support that Unicaja Banco offers to the Malaga province, aims at the reconstruction, repair and acquisition of goods, as well as to advance the payment of the corresponding damages from insurance companies.

 

Unicaja Banco has set a special credit facility with preferential conditions for those affected by the heavy rains registered in the last weeks in the province of Malaga. In particular, this initiative, open to meet the needs that may arise, includes loans for the reconstruction, repair and acquisition of goods, as well as the advance payment of the damages to be received from the insurance companies.

 

For that purpose, Unicaja Banco and Diputación Provincial de Málaga (Malaga Provincial Council) have signed today a protocol to establish a collaboration framework to make up for the damage caused by the rains.

 

The purpose of the financial institution is to contribute to cover the losses in cultivations, livestock farms and industrial installations, as well as personal property of individuals, such as homes or vehicles.

 

The agreement has been signed in an event attended by Unicaja Banco’s General Director of Business, José Luis Berrendero, and by the Councilor of Development and Infrastructure, Francisco Oblaré.

 

In particular, it is a special credit facility, with granting subject to the prior approval by the Institution, for the reconstruction, rehabilitation, repair or acquisition of goods, at the same time that it will allow receiving in advance the damages due by the insurance companies.

 

According to the conditions set, up to 80% of the amount of the rehabilitation, reconstruction, repair and acquisition projects could be financed, and up to 90% of the damages valued by the insurance company.

 

This action intends to relieve losses in farms and businesses, as well as in homes, vehicles and personal belongings, as support financial mechanisms are required to re-establish the economy of the affected areas.

 

Information

 

Those affected can apply for preferential financing at any Unicaja Branch in Malaga province, where they will be served by specialized staff and where their application will be studied. The institution also puts at the disposal of its customers the corresponding information.

 

This initiative, which provides a specific financing solution, falls within the financial support that Unicaja Banco gives to the society in general, to individuals and families and to businesses, within its interest to promote and foster the economic development.

 

In fact, Unicaja Banco has set in previous occasions other special credit facilities in emergency situations, such as floods or strong winds, in Malaga and in other provinces of Andalusia and, in general, in the areas where it operates.
