The collaboration also aims at preserving and disseminating the historic and artistic heritage, as well as promoting the study of fine arts.

The institution is intensifying its cooperation with the different institutions in the province of Valladolid.

Unicaja Banco has renewed its collaboration with the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de la Purísima Concepción in Valladolid, giving support to actions of general interest fostered by the said cultural institution. The agreement has been signed today by Manuel Rubio, Regional Manager of the bank, and Javier López de Uribe y Laya, President of the Academy.

The agreement, which has been renewed for the fourth consecutive year, intends to develop a program aimed at protecting and disseminating the historic and artistic heritage of Valladolid, as well as promoting the study of fine arts. All of that, through appealing initiatives for all kinds of public, such as the organization of exhibitions, lectures, edition and presentation of books or any other cultural activity.

This way, Unicaja Banco joins the work of the Academy as a guarantor and guardian of Valladolid heritage, considered as a key value for the development of the province, where the bank has a long-standing presence.

Established in 1779, the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de la Purísima Concepción de Valladolid is nowadays a cultural corporation of public interest, associated to the Instituto de España and integrated in the Confederación Española de Centros de Estudios Locales del Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas. It has carried out actions as relevant as the custody and preservation of the Holy Week floats, the direction of the Museo Provincial de Bellas Artes, and the creation of the Galería Arqueológica y Enseñanza Especializada, for instance. It currently acts as an advisory body and collaborates with the Government and different professional associations.
