The workshops will be given by Estefanía Guzmán and Vicente José Valverde, professional musicians with experience in orchestras and specialists in musical education. These experts will try to bring children changes at an educational and social level.

The first activity is called ‘Music of the world’, and will take place on Monday 27 May. This workshop will offer a journey through different cultures, reviewing music styles, rhythms, melodies and instruments from Africa, China, USA, Cuba, France or Italy.

Classical music will be the main topic of the second day of workshops, 28 May. Estefanía Guzmán and Vicente Valverde will bring this music genre to children through games and dynamics.

Wednesday May will be the day of the ‘Canta y tum tum’ workshop, where children will discover, sing and play an African song. Thursday will be day of percussion, with an activity for children with previous music experience. This workshop is an introduction to chamber music and to the first music graphics.

Finally, the workshop ‘Music at the circus’ will be held on Friday 31 May. The children will enjoy an array of shows to learn about beat, melodies and simple musical structures.

The workshops will be organized in two daily sessions; at 18:00 for 15 children aged 6-7, and at 19:00 for 15 children aged 8-10. Each activity will last for about 45 minutes.
