Seville is once again becoming a meeting point for senior management on the occasion of the International Seminar organised by San Telmo Business School, to be held from 9 to 11 June at the business school’s headquarters. This event, sponsored by Unicaja, will bring together around a hundred CEOs and chairpersons of multinational companies to discuss international business, management and institutional structure, against a backdrop of geopolitical uncertainty, the rise of artificial intelligence and changes in business leadership.
Antonio García de Castro, executive chairman of San Telmo Business School, emphasised that the aim of the seminar is “to offer entrepreneurs and executives a comprehensive overview of the changes that are transforming the business world, learning directly from those who lead some of the most prominent organisations on the international stage”.
For his part, José Sevilla, chairman of Unicaja, stressed that “competitiveness today depends as much on strategy as on its execution. This requires anticipating risks, understanding markets well and adapting quickly to changes. As a financial institution, our role is to support businesses and executives with a long-term vision and rigorous management. Forums such as the one at San Telmo provide a useful space for reflection, sharing experiences and making better decisions”.
Business, management and ownership
The International Seminar will bring together some of the most prominent figures on the international business scene, including Peter Brabeck-Letmathe, former chairman of Nestlé and the World Economic Forum; Juvencio Maeztu, CEO of Ingka Group (IKEA); Javier Ferrán, chairman of IAG (Iberia and British Airways); José Sevilla, chairman of Unicaja; Pilar Manchón, Director of AI Research Strategy at Google; Lidan Qi, CEO and founder of Puente China España; and Ana Pastor, former president of the Congress of Deputies.
The event will begin with a global reflection on how to manage businesses in a changing environment, analysing the specific characteristics of markets such as Europe, North America, Asia – particularly China – Africa, India and Latin America. Business leaders will share their experiences as key figures at the helm of companies operating across different continents and will outline the keys to competing in increasingly complex markets.
The programme includes discussions with some of today’s leading business figures on issues such as CEO selection, succession in family businesses, business opportunities in China, the coexistence of venture capital and family ownership, the role of boards of directors, and leadership in the age of artificial intelligence.
With this event, San Telmo Business School provides a forum for reflection for senior management and consolidates Seville as a leading venue for debate on the economy, leadership and business in the international context.
