Business innovation and entrepreneurship in the context of artificial intelligence (AI) were the central themes of the first Congress on Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship, held in Salamanca with the collaboration of Unicaja.
The forum was organised around five main themes: big data and artificial intelligence in business; critical thinking and the ethical aspects of AI; the legal aspects of business innovation; skills and competencies for entrepreneurship and entering the labour market; and business innovation and the demographic challenge.
A conference with a practical focus
Held over two days, 13 and 14 May, in a hybrid format (in-person and online), the conference featured practical workshops on topics including how to design your business model using AI and data intelligence for decision-making, led by researchers and experts in the field. It is aimed at students, graduates and businesses seeking to enhance their professional and strategic profile.
This forum was organised by the ‘V Centenario Escuela de Salamanca’ Chair in Business Innovation (CIE) and the International Chair in AI and Demographic Challenges (DEMIA) at the University of Salamanca (USAL), in collaboration with Unicaja, the Salamanca Chamber of Commerce, the Pontifical University of Salamanca (UPSA), Salamanca Town Hall and the General Foundation of USAL.
Furthermore, the holding of this conference is linked to the commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the School of Salamanca, which constituted one of the most influential schools of thought of the European Renaissance.
In fact, Unicaja, together with the University of Salamanca and the Salamanca Chamber of Commerce, is promoting the ‘V Centenario Escuela de Salamanca’ Chair in Business Innovation, a forum for meeting, debate and reflection among various professionals and academics, with a reach extending to the whole of society.
Unicaja’s support for young people
Unicaja’s backing for this initiative is part of its firm support for young people with initiative and an entrepreneurial spirit, and its commitment to providing them with the necessary tools, particularly in terms of financing, so that they can materialize their ideas and advance their professional development, thereby contributing to the economic progress of Salamanca and its province.
