Unicaja has renewed its support for the Asociación de Comerciantes y Empresarios de Benalmádena (ACEB), which has 400 members, thus reaffirming its commitment to the economic and social development of the municipality of Malaga. With this collaboration, the bank contributes to promoting the local business fabric and supporting initiatives in favour of trade, entrepreneurship and the revitalisation of economic activity in Benalmádena.
The agreement was signed by the head of Unicaja Málaga Costa, Francisco Javier Prieto García, and the president of ACEB, Rosa María González Rubia, and represents adherence to the agreement signed at the time by the financial institution and the Málaga Confederation of Business Owners (CEM).
The renewal of this agreement is part of the long-standing relationship between the two institutions and means that the shops and businesses that form part of ACEB will have access to the financial products and services that best suit their needs.
This offer will help business owners in Benalmádena to develop their investments and strategic projects, thus contributing to the promotion of the local and provincial economy.
The head of Unicaja Málaga Costa, Francisco Javier Prieto García, highlighted the financial institution's "firm commitment" to "the economic and social development of the areas where we operate, and Benalmádena is a strategic municipality due to its dynamism, its entrepreneurial capacity and the key role it plays within the Costa del Sol".
For this reason, he added, "supporting the Asociación de Comerciantes y Empresarios de Benalmádena means for us directly contributing to the strengthening of the local business fabric and promoting initiatives that generate employment and wealth".
"Benalmádena's merchants and business owners are an essential driving force for the municipality's economic activity and for its projection as a leading tourist destination," said Prieto García. In view of this, he stated that "at Unicaja, we want to continue to be a close ally, offering financial support and collaborating with those institutions that work constantly to defend the interests of the business sector and promote sustainable and competitive growth."
For her part, the president of ACEB, Rosa María González Rubia, praised the agreement, stating that "it responds to a real demand from our collective: having advantageous financial conditions is key to continuing to grow and facing new challenges with greater security, strengthening the competitiveness of our businesses and companies."
Commitment to the business fabric
Businesses in general, and SMEs in particular, continue to be key groups in Unicaja's financing policy, as set out in its 2025-2027 Strategic Plan. It therefore works to offer business owners, the self-employed and entrepreneurs the financial solutions best suited to their needs through omnichannel service.
The Asociación de Comerciantes y Empresarios de Benalmádena was established almost 40 years ago with the aim of promoting the development of the municipality's commercial and business fabric and representing the interests of its members. Providing up-to-date and constant information, supporting the creation of companies and businesses or the restructuring of existing ones are also objectives of this organisation, as well as ensuring quality in commerce and facilitating the exchange of ideas, contacts and cooperation.
