Unicaja is moving forward with the implementation of its 2025-2027 Strategic Plan with a reorganization of its retail business that reinforces specialization and innovation, while also consolidating its position in key segments. This initiative responds to the objective of diversifying income and strengthening areas with high potential and profitability, in line with the transformation that the bank has been developing to improve the customer experience and customer loyalty.

The new structure divides the former Customer and Commercial Strategy division into three new areas specializing in different segments within the retail business, reporting directly to the director general of Retail Business, Luis Colorado.

Thus, the following divisions have been created: SMEs, Business and Products for Companies, focused on designing comprehensive, omnichannel solutions for companies and businesses; Private Banking, Personal Banking and Investment Products, focused on high-net-worth customers, with greater specialization and an innovative and sustainable offering; and Individuals, Insurance, Payments and Retail Products, which strengthens the offering for individuals, placing the customer at the center.

Two leading professionals have joined the bank to head up these areas: Santiago Casanova will lead SMEs, Business and Products for Companies, bringing with him more than 20 years of experience in strategic consulting and business development, leading digital transformation and growth projects in sectors such as finance and technology. In the case of Private Banking, Personal Banking and Investment Products, Ramón Senosiaín has a solid track record of more than 25 years of experience in investment consulting, financial product design, and strategic management. Likewise, within the scope of Private Banking, a specific Financial and Wealth Planning unit has been created, headed by Miguel Solbes.

Gustavo Peralta, former Head of Customers and Commercial Strategy, will lead the Individuals, Insurance, Payments, and Retail Products division.

This commitment to specialization builds on three other existing divisions within the Directorate General of Retail Business, which ensure integration into the strategy of commercial execution, digital transformation, and advanced data use: Commercial Network, led by Agustín Sánchez; Digital and Remote Banking, led by Joaquín Sevilla; and Business Intelligence and CRM, led by Eva González.

Agile and specialized model

The director general of Retail Business pointed out that “this reorganization allows us to move towards a more agile and specialized model that better responds to the needs of our customers, in line with our strategic objectives.”

Luis Colorado emphasized that the new organization “reaffirms Unicaja's commitment to commercial excellence and customer proximity in order to position ourselves as a leading bank.”

With this new structure, Unicaja aims to consolidate its position in the retail business through a comprehensive proposal that combines specialization, innovation, and digitization, strengthening its ability to generate value and improve customer loyalty.
