Unicaja has launched the 'Generación Unicaja' programme, designed to promote internal talent and develop the leadership skills of its staff. With this initiative, the organisation seeks to recognise the contribution of its professionals, enhance their skills and strengthen their commitment to the organisation.
The programme, which will last for one year, is aimed at around thirty members of staff who do not currently hold management positions, from both Central Services and the commercial network, who are under 46 years of age and have the potential to take on new challenges in the short and medium term.
In the design and implementation of this initiative, Unicaja is collaborating with the Esade Business School and Deloitte, which will contribute their distinctive expertise in their respective fields. The bank, for its part, will offer its business knowledge, aligned with its strategy and focused on key competencies for the future.
'Generación Unicaja' combines specialised training, with the possibility of obtaining accredited qualifications; assessment of leadership skills; and participation in strategic projects. In addition, each participant will receive individualised monitoring from a mentor and the opportunity to work in dynamic and flexible teams.
The aim of this initiative is to foster internal support networks among professionals in order to reduce the intergenerational gap and ensure the promotion of knowledge within Unicaja, encouraging two-way learning that combines senior experience and the vision of young talent.
During the launch of the programme, Unicaja CEO Isidro Rubiales emphasised that "with 'Generación Unicaja' we want to offer our professionals the opportunity to grow professionally, contribute new ideas and play a leading role in the evolution of the organisation".
For his part, the General Director of People, Organisation and Legal, Juan Medina, added that "at Unicaja, we believe that people are the real driving force behind the organisation" and that "investing in internal talent is investing in the future".
Commitment to talent
The promotion of talent is a key pillar of Unicaja's 2025-2027 Strategic Plan. The organisation is aware that investing in the skills of its staff is a fundamental element in the competitive development of its daily activity and in generating long-term value.
Therefore, one of the bank's objectives is to promote actions that enable it to position itself as an attractive place to work, offering opportunities for growth and competitive benefits.
