The International Film Week of Valladolid (Seminci), of which Unicaja is a sponsor, has presented this Friday in Valladolid some of the keys to its new edition, which will take place from 24 October to 1 November and has in its program with 224 titles.
With this presentation, which follows the one that took place last 8 October in Madrid, at the Academy of Arts and Cinematographic Sciences of Spain, the head of the Seminci, José Luis Cienfuegos, and the mayor of Valladolid, Jesús Julio Carnero, have stated that the festival consolidates its vocation as a showcase for social cinema and reaffirms its commitment to the stories that challenge the conscience of the viewer. Today's event was attended, on behalf of Unicaja, by the regional manager for Castilla y León, Manuel Rubio.
The bank has been a sponsor of the Seminci for more than two decades, a commitment that demonstrates the close ties that the bank has with Valladolid and with Castilla y León in general.
This also reflects Unicaja's constant commitment to the promotion of culture through its support to different and varied initiatives. This support, within the framework of its sustainability policy, strengthens the social environment and contributes to the development of its areas of operation.
Blue carpet
From 24 October, the carpet on which actors, directors and other guests will parade at the opening and closing galas at the Calderón Theater will be blue, one of Unicaja's corporate colors. It can also be seen in the cinemas where the films will be screened and in Santiago Street.
This year's Seminci program will be an X-ray of global conflicts from a humanist perspective. With 224 titles (including 29 world premieres and 103 national premieres), this edition will draw a powerful portrait of contemporary geopolitical tensions, from Palestinian suffering to Ukrainian resistance, including the dilemmas of adolescence and overcoming family traumas.
