Unicaja is once again present at the Princess of Asturias Awards, now in its 45th edition and whose awards ceremony will take place on 24 October at the Campoamor Theater in Oviedo. As a prelude to this celebration, the institution is lending the façade of its main building, located in the Plaza de la Escandalera, for the installation from this Friday of a large photographic canvas to announce 'Graciela Iturbide: Spain and Mexico', an exhibition dedicated to the Mexican artist, distinguished in the category of Arts.
The exhibition, made up of 173 photographs, will be on display from 16 to 25 October at the Fábrica de Armas de La Vega and is part of the Awards Week. The exhibition will be accompanied by other initiatives in honor of the award-winning photographer, such as ‘Sembraré pájaros’, created by the Berde collective based on her images.
The 45th edition of these prestigious awards will have its main event on 24 October at the Campoamor Theater in Oviedo, with a ceremony presided over by Their Majesties the King and Queen of Spain, with the presence of Their Royal Highnesses the Princess of Asturias and the Infanta Sofia.

Extensive programme of activities
The programme planned for this year's Princess of Asturias Awards ceremony includes 80 activities, which will take place in Oviedo, Gijón, Avilés, Colombres and San Martín del Rey Aurelio. The aim is to bring the laureates closer to the public and encourage dialogue around the values that this event represents.
As for the award winners, in addition to Graciela Iturbide in Arts, there are Byung-Chul Han (Communication and Humanities), Eduardo Mendoza (Literature), Douglas Massey (Social Sciences), Serena Williams (Sports), Mary-Claire King (Scientific and Technical Research), Mario Draghi (International Cooperation) and the National Museum of Anthropology of Mexico (Concord).
