Unicaja is once again showing its support for the work of Sevilla business owners and, among other initiatives, will collaborate in the celebration of the annual meeting of the Seville Business Owners Confederation (CES), which will take place in the first quarter of 2026.
In addition, Unicaja and CES will collaborate with the aim of contributing to boosting business initiatives and strengthening employment in their traditional areas of action.
This support is materialized in an agreement signed by the Unicaja's regional manager for Western Andalusia, Javier Aguilera, and the president of the Seville association, Miguel Rus.
CES, through its sectoral and territorial organizations, and the companies that are part of it directly, represents and defends the interests of more than 12,000 companies and freelancers in the province, belonging to all productive sectors, sizes and areas of activity.
The initiative responds to the commitment of the financial institution with the business fabric and falls within the framework of its interest in promoting and facilitating the economic development of its area of action, such as Sevilla and its province.
As for the CES annual meeting, this event will serve to transfer the most relevant data of the organization during the year 2025, proceeding, in addition, to the approval of its report, its accounts and its budget, and the ratification of the most important agreements approved by its governing bodies.
Support for the business sector
Unicaja is working to consolidate its position as a main bank for the business sector, to which it offers a complete range of services and products, both financial and non-financial. Precisely, the latter are made available to the self-employed and SMEs through alliances with leading firms in their respective sectors and can be located on its commercial website; specifically, in the space called ' SolucionaT '.
The commitment to SMEs and freelancers is part of its activity as a financial institution focused on the retail and proximity banking business. In fact, these professionals continue to be key in its financing policy as main players for the revitalization of the economy.
About CES
Founded in 1977, the Confederación Empresarial de Sevilla is an organization that represents and defends the business interests of more than 12,000 companies and freelancers in Sevilla, belonging to all sectors, sizes and areas of activity, both through its more than 100 member associations and directly through associated companies.
Likewise, through these organizations, collective bargaining agreements are negotiated that reach more than 50,000 companies and more than 300,000 workers in the province.
The CES exercises its role as an economic and social interlocutor in Sevilla before public administrations, trade union organizations, political parties and various institutions. It is an active member of the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE), the Spanish Confederation of Small and Medium Enterprises (Cepyme) and the Andalusian Confederation of Business Owners (CEA). It also participates, through its representatives, in different local, provincial, regional, national and international organizations, always with the aim of defending and promoting business interests, contributing to the economic and social development of the territory and strengthening the presence of Sevilla companies in all decision-making areas.
