Unicaja has renewed the agreement to continue collaborating with the program My First Home of the Community of Madrid, which has exceeded 5,000 beneficiaries and allows for mortgages of up to 100% of the value of the property.
The Community of Madrid will reinforce this program to enable a greater number of citizens to benefit from it. In this sense, the age limit has been extended to 50 years and new buildings are included among the financeable options. In this way, people under 40 years of age may qualify for mortgages of up to 100% of the value of the property, 95% if they are between 40 and 45 years of age, and 90% if they are between 45 and 50 years of age.
Beneficiaries include large and single-parent families, and anyone who, being solvent and having resources, do not have the previous savings necessary for the acquisition of their first home. In all these cases there is no age limit.
The signing of the renewal of this agreement took place this Tuesday in Madrid in the presence of the Deputy Regional Minister of Housing, Transport and Infrastructure, José María García, and the participating financial institutions. Unicaja was represented by the regional manager for Madrid and Expansion, José Luis Álvarez.
From Unicaja, Álvarez pointed out that "access to a home is a concern that we share with the citizens". For this reason, he highlighted the financial institution's efforts to help them, especially young people, when it comes to acquiring a home of their own.
Proximity banking
Within the framework of its strategy of proximity banking, Unicaja places itself at the side of the citizens and their needs. In the specific case of young people, a segment that has its own strategy within the bank, there is direct collaboration through a complete range of financial and non-financial products and services, adapted to the needs of their life cycle, and also through support for initiatives promoted by other institutions.
Thus, the bank participates in housing access programs in collaboration with different national, regional and local administrations, as is the case of the Government of the Community of Madrid, and also offers advantageous conditions through its Youth Mortgage.
