Unicaja has sponsored a new conference “Novedades PAC 2025”, organized by Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias Extremadura, with the collaboration of the Directorate General CAP. A meeting, held Friday in Merida, which was attended by about a hundred people belonging to the technical teams of agricultural and livestock cooperatives associated with the organization.
At the event, issues of such relevance as direct aid and eco-schemes, agri-environmental aid, farm certifications and new developments in cross-compliance, among others, were discussed.
The president of Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias Extremadura, Angel Pacheco, stressed the importance of these training sessions, which put in direct contact the technical teams of agri-food cooperatives associated with this Extremadura federation with the Directorate General of the CAP.
In addition, he explained that, during the training, all the doubts about the CAP campaign are clarified, the modifications that there are, the adjustments of the application software, etc., since the people who make up the technical teams of the cooperatives are the ones who best know the farms of their cooperative members.

For his part, the regional manager of Unicaja, Julio Morales Bravo, stressed the firm commitment of the bank to the primary sector of Extremadura and the importance of training on regulatory changes in the single application CAP. “That is why every year we collaborate with Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias Extremadura in the organization of a conference as useful as this,” he said.
Morales also announced that Unicaja allocates 1,000 million euros in pre-approved loans to the current CAP campaign, with the new feature of having the aid pre-approved, so that the farmer or livestock breeder does not have to wait for the application study.
