Unicaja and ASAJA Cuenca have signed a new collaboration agreement to make it easier for farmers and livestock breeders in the province to apply for CAP (Common Agricultural Policy) aid, as well as to receive the payment in advance from the financial institution.

The area manager of Unicaja in Cuenca, María Martín de Santa Olalla, and the general secretary of ASAJA Cuenca, Manuel Torrero, have signed this agreement in the facilities of the bank in the capital, in Parque San Julián. Thanks to this agreement, both institutions collaborate again in a new CAP campaign, guaranteeing a quality service in the management and advance payment of aid, in addition to meeting the financial needs that farmers may have.

Thus, farmers of the province will be able to process the aid through ASAJA Cuenca, taking advantage of all the resources and technical staff available to the organization. In addition, members who have their application file deposited in Unicaja will be able to receive the amount of the aid in advance, in a fast and agile way, as well as benefiting from several financial advantages.

In this sense, the entity has allocated 1,000 million euros for pre-approved loans for the amounts with which to cover the needs covered by the aids. Likewise, this offer is extended with loans for the modernization and improvement of farms.

Experience and commitment

Unicaja, committed to the agricultural sector of Cuenca and Castilla-La Mancha, works constantly creating and adapting its products and services to the needs of professionals in the sector.

Its experience in the sector and its knowledge of the area, as well as its collaboration with organizations such as ASAJA Cuenca, allows it to know first-hand the needs of farmers in order to offer them the best solutions and the most appropriate financial tools to get the most out of their work.

In addition, under the agreement with the Government of Castilla-La Mancha, Unicaja offers farmers in the region special financing conditions, with the aim of injecting liquidity into the agricultural sector.

For its part, ASAJA Cuenca, the largest organization of farmers in the province, offers a comprehensive service in the processing of CAP aid and has a team of professionals who monitor the files throughout the year, providing added value to the management.
