Unicaja incorporates to its app a new reinforced authentication system with which its customers can operate securely and easily from their usual devices. This mechanism, called Unicaja Key, allows transactions to be authorized through biometrics (fingerprint or facial) or a signature pin, without the need for SMS or a coordinates card. It is currently operational for purchases in secure e-commerce and will soon add new functionalities.
The use of Unicaja Key allows quick and non-transferable recognition and simplifies the transaction authorization process by using biometrics or a signature pin as alternatives to the current identification systems (SMS and coordinates card).
This system incorporates as a differentiating element the use of NFC technology for the verification of the customer's ID card, providing greater security to the operations carried out from the device.
Currently, Unicaja Key is already operational for secure e-commerce purchases and will soon incorporate new functionalities such as bizum payments.
Digital improvement
Unicaja Key joins other digital innovations carried out by the bank in the last year, such as the virtual assistant Nica or the financial aggregator, among others.
Unicaja is aware that the digital channel is currently one of the main channels of communication with customers, especially for operations and sales. For this reason, it is working to improve security and user experience, and on a multichannel evolution strategy focused not only on operations, but also on the subscription of the bank's products and services.
