Unicaja and the Agrupación de Cofradías de Semana Santa de Málaga (Association of Malaga Holy Week Brotherhoods) have renewed their traditional collaboration agreement, which aims to facilitate the development of the activity of this brotherhood organization, the oldest in Spain, with more than a century of history, as well as the work of the 41 brotherhoods that comprise it.
To this end, the financial institution offers a comprehensive and specific financial service to support the projects of this brotherhood organization.
The agreement, which was first signed 17 years ago, was signed by the CEO of Unicaja, Isidro Rubiales, and the president of the Agrupación de Cofradías de Semana Santa de Málaga, José Carlos Garín.
The support for the work of the Agrupación de Cofradías is part of the actions carried out by Unicaja to contribute to the promotion and dissemination of Holy Week in Malaga and the life of the brotherhoods, as repositories of social, religious, cultural and historical-artistic values and as generators of social, cultural and welfare activity.

Thus, with the objective of contributing to facilitate the activity of both the Agrupación de Cofradías and its members, the agreement includes a complete offering of financial products and services, under favorable conditions, designed to satisfy their needs and the development of their activity.
Within this offer, products and services such as financing operations for investments, current accounts with special conditions, specific services for collection and payment management and tax processing, and a wide range of digital services stand out.
Insurance polices are other products to be mentioned. These are policies, both collective and individual, aimed at insuring and covering accidents, contingencies, damage to casas hermandades and museums, and Civil Liability and Property.
Agrupación de Cofradías
The Agrupación de Cofradías de Semana Santa de Málaga, founded on 21 January 1921, is the first institution of this nature to be constituted in Spain with the purpose of representing and coordinating its interests and the celebrations of a public nature.
Its constitution responded to the intention of bringing together all the brotherhoods of the capital of Malaga to enhance the processional parades of the Major Week of Malaga and to promote collaboration between the brotherhoods.
Currently, it groups 41 brotherhoods, with a direct social endorsement of around 80,000 members. Among its main activities are the organization of the processions of the city and the promotion and dissemination of the Malaga Holy Week, being also noteworthy the social and welfare work that promotes as an institution, apart from those that, in particular, are carried out by the association members.
