In order to reinforce its commitment to sustainability, Unicaja has improved its Oxygen Mortgage*, aimed at financing the purchase of energy-efficient homes, and now offers not only fixed and variable rates, but also mixed-rates. In this way, it has a responsible product that facilitates access to financing and boosts energy savings.
The Personal Banking Oxygen Mortgage with bonuses is intended, like the existing fixed or variable-rate options, to finance the purchase, self-development or rehabilitation of efficient housing, with an A or B energy efficiency certificate.
The new Oxygen Mortgage combines a fixed-rate for the first five or ten years and a variable-rate for the remaining term, linked to the one-year Euribor plus a spread. Both the fixed-rate for the first years and the spread applied to the variable-rate have a 0.10% bonus compared to the standard mortgage.
The Oxygen Mortgage, as part of Unicaja's wide range of mortgages, covers a growing need in the Spanish financial market, supporting the improvement of housing efficiency.
In fact, the purchase of an efficient home means significant financial savings for buyers, which translates into greater comfort and a reduction in their energy bills and, at the same time, a reduction in the carbon footprint and emissions of residential buildings, which are responsible for 40% of final energy consumption in Europe.
In the area of housing
In the area of housing, Unicaja is also committed to the renovation of buildings with the aim of reducing carbon dioxide emissions and benefiting families by considerably reducing their energy costs. To this end, it facilitates these renovations within the framework of subsidies from the Next Generation European funds.
Likewise, for those interested in taking out a mortgage, whether or not they are Unicaja customers, the bank features a mortgage simulator on its website, which they can use to calculate the amount to be paid.
