Unicaja and Unión de Pequeños Agricultoroes y Ganaderos (UPA) of Castilla-La Mancha again collaborate in a new aid campaign of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). Thus, farmers and livestock breeders in the region will be able to process the subsidy easily through this professional organization and benefit from special financial conditions in Unicaja by arranging for the direct payment of the aid in the institution, including the advance of the subsidy.

The regional manager of Commercial Banking of Unicaja, Almudena Noheda, and the secretary of Administration of UPA Castilla-La Mancha, Miguel Esponera, have signed this agreement, which will allow UPA associates to carry process the CAP application in the simplest way and with the maximum guarantees.

Likewise, UPA members who arrange for the direct payment of their application file with Unicaja will be able to receive the amount of the aid in advance quickly and easily and benefit from the complete catalog of financial products and services that the entity makes available to them.

Unicaja has allocated around 800 million euros to pre-approved loans for the amounts to cover the aids of the current CAP campaign. This offer is also extended with loans for the modernization and improvement of farms.

Commitment to the farming sector

Unicaja is constantly working to renew and adapt its financial resources to the needs faced by professionals in the sector, especially in Castilla-La Mancha.

Thus, they have access to loans for agricultural investments, to improve the sustainability of their businesses or to finance new crops, in order to support their projects to continue growing and increase their competitiveness. In addition, they have also at their disposal aid advances, seasonal loans, harvest advances or advances on agricultural insurance premiums.

Unicaja has recently signed an agreement with the Government of Castilla-La Mancha to make special financing conditions available to farmers and livestock breeders in the region, with the aim of injecting liquidity into the agricultural sector.

These actions demonstrate Unicaja Banco's deep-rooted presence in Castilla-La Mancha, as well as the financial institution's firm commitment to the region's agricultural and livestock sector, as one of its main drivers of development.
