Unicaja Banco and Unión de Pequeños Agricultores y Ganaderos (UPA) Cantabria collaborate, one more year, to facilitate the application and management of CAP (Common Agricultural Policy) subsidies, thanks to the signing of an agreement.

Therefore, farmers and livestock breeders will have access to the organization’s experience and specialized staff and resources to process their application, while, at the same time, will have access to the financial advantages provided by Unicaja Banco, such as the advance payment of the subsidies.

Unicaja Banco’s Commercial Banking Regional Manager in Cantabria, Luis Taboada, and the President of UPA Cantabria, Alberto Pérez, have signed this agreement, under which the members of the farmers’ association will have access to special conditions at the bank.

Taboada stated that “agreements such as this one allow us to continue developing the best solutions for the sector”. He also stressed “Unicaja Banco's deep-rooted presence in Cantabria and its firm commitment to the farming sector in this region”.

For his part, Pérez thanked Unicaja Banco “for its work throughout its history to meet the needs of farmers and as a banking reference for the sector in Cantabria”.

Products adapted to each need

Both institutions agreed on the importance of knowing first-hand the needs of the sector in order to be able to offer them financial products and services adapted to their needs.

In that line, Unicaja Banco offers a broad range of products and services, with specific solutions for each need, as well as an experienced team of managers, to offer a quality service.

Cantabria farmers will have at their disposal new financing products to launch any project, invest in upgrades, acquire more efficient machinery or expand their markets.
