Unicaja Banco and Asociación Agraria Jóvenes Agricultores (Association of Young Farmers) of Cuenca have signed a collaboration agreement to facilitate the processing and management of CAP (Common Agricultural Policy) subsidies to farmers and livestock breeders.

Thanks to this collaboration, farmers will be able to process their application through Asaja Cuenca, using the organization’s specialized staff and resources, while, at the same time, will have access to the financial advantages provided by Unicaja Banco, such as the advance payment of the aids.

Unicaja Banco’s Division Manager of Commercial Banking in Castilla-La Mancha, José Ignacio Martínez Uviedo, and the Secretary General of Asaja Cuenca, Manuel Torrero, have signed this new agreement. An alliance between both institutions that, at a key moment for the sector, is now even more necessary, as the changes derived from the new CAP and the market itself, make the near future full of challenges, but also of opportunities.

In this line, Unicaja Banco puts at their disposal a comprehensive range of specialized products and services under special conditions. Farmers will find the funding they need to launch projects, invest in the improvement and acquisition of new farming machinery, launch new crops, have access to more efficient machinery or expand their markets.

Taking into account that each business, crop and farm has its own growth rates, the bank offers specific loans adapted to each need, such as, for example, those aimed at woody crops, which allow the expansion, renovation or diversification of this type of crops, which begin to be productive in the medium term.

Seizing challenges and opportunities

At a time of profound changes for the sector, Unicaja Banco continues with its strong commitment to be the financial support that farmers and livestock breeders need to seize the new challenges and opportunities and to obtain the best performance from their work.

In this sense, the bank puts at the disposal of farmers all its experience and works to reinforce specific financial services and to design new products to anticipate the needs of the sector's professionals.
