The investment’s value depends on the market value of the assets in the Investment Fund and may lead to significant losses. Accepting a higher level of risk is necessary to have the chance of obtaining positive returns. Past performance is not indicative of future results.

Unicaja Banco has strengthened in its commercial network the discretionary portfolio management service. With this service, it provides professional assistance to customers when making decisions to buy and sell assets, always within targets set according to their risk profile and the amount they want to invest. This way, customers will have access to a flexible and active management and to a broad range of investment funds, as well as enjoying the tax benefits of investment funds*.

With the discretionary portfolio management service, the bank makes those decisions related to the composition and management of the customer’s investment fund portfolio, so as to reach the maximum return for each risk profile. The full features of the service can be found here.

Unicaja Banco, based on the knowledge, experience, objectives and financial situation of the customer, will make the most suitable investment decisions. For that purpose, when subscribing the portfolio management service, the adoption of investment decisions is delegated to the bank, which is entrusted with the product selection and the execution of transactions.

Unicaja Banco offers its customers four portfolios, according to the different risk profiles: Conservative, Moderate, Dynamic and Aggressive. The minimum amount required is 20,000 euros.

The portfolio investment decisions have been delegated to Unicorp Patrimonio SV, Grupo Unicaja Banco’s private banking, which has 20 years of experience. Additionally, this work has been recognized with several awards.

Advantages of the discretionary portfolio management service

As for the advantages of the discretionary portfolio management, it is important to remark diversification and decorrelation, which could reduce the specific risk of a single financial asset. It seeks to maintain an asset portfolio with different risk levels and potential returns, from different activity sectors (industry, services, food, new technologies, banking, energy and construction, etc.), geographical areas, currencies, terms, etc.

It also features a rapid decision making, given that, upon signing the contract, the customer gives the bank a mandate for it, with professional nature, to discretionarily manage his or her portfolio. This allows the manager to be able to make rapid decisions in the best moments.

Other advantages include liquidity, as it is a service that subscribes investment funds and divestments can be requested at any time**, as well as regular and detailed information of the portfolio positions and evolution, including the costs and expenses and their effect on profitability.

*The tax regime for investment funds is general. The tax benefits or advantages are applied to natural persons who reside in Spain.

**The risk of losing capital may increase if a divestment is made before the recommended time horizon.
