The Edufinet Project, promoted by Unicaja Banco and Fundación Unicaja, has organized, for the second time during this school year and in collaboration with the University of Jaen (UJA), an online workshop on blockchain technology with the aim of explaining university students the uses it has in different fields. The participants have also learnt about real cases of use of this technology in areas such as finances, cryptocurrencies, logistics or governments.

Strong support to online training

Edufinet is promoting the organization of webinars to be broadcasted on its YouTube channel (channel: Proyecto Edufinet). These webinars are intended to be held weekly and their live streaming seeks to continue improving the financial literacy of citizens.

In that line, since March, the Edufinet Project has participated in remote sessions, such as in a workshop organized by the University of Malaga (UMA) and addressed to the elderly, and has posted several interviews on its YouTube channel. It has also organized online the final of the 11th Financial Olympics, which put an end to the 11th Conferences on Financial Education for Young People, as well as roundtable discussions and other activities which can be viewed on the Project’s YouTube channel.

Likewise, the 3rd Financial Education Congress was held remotely from 16 to 20 November. It registered a participation of 500 people and the collaboration of over 60 experts from different fields.

In the exercise of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), during this period Edufinet has continued to make available several online resources to keep in contact with citizens. To that end, it has got the website www.edufinet.com and two specific portals (Edufiemp, for business owners and entrepreneurs, and Edufinext, for young people), as well as a YouTube channel and accounts on Twitter and Facebook.

On Edufinet’s website, users have access to activities such as an online course on financial education, financial simulators for loans, pension plans, insurance or saving products, basic financial calculations and Q&A to test what they know about finance.

The Edufinet Project, with 15 years of history, currently collaborates with more than ten business organizations and institutions, as well as with 16 universities.
