The pre-approved loans stand out for the agility in their granting, and allow the bank to meet the financing needs of farmers, for them to have quick and easy access to the pre-approved amount for the investments and expenses required at the beginning of the season.

These pre-approved loans join the wide range of products and services that the bank puts at the disposal of the agricultural sector, in its commitment to support agriculture and farmers. This support is reflected in specific financing solutions, with 12-month and 6-month loans, and with additional financial and protection services, advice, grant management and training.

Unicaja Banco, on the occasion of the start of the agricultural season 2019-2020, has launched its new campaign ‘Intensive Crops’, where the bank maintains its traditional support to the agricultural sector, offering up to €426,6 million in its pre-approved loan line targeted to the fruit and vegetable sector, involving a 63% increase with regard to the previous campaign.

Unicaja Banco’s ‘Intensive Crops’ new campaign includes also other financing modalities adapted to those developing their activities in the agricultural sector: 6-month loans, or the Tarjeta Univerde card, with the possibility to defer payments until the end of the campaign.

This way, Unicaja Banco offers its traditional facility of pre-approved campaign loans to its farming customers, for a total amount of €367.5 million. It adds again the 5-year pre-approved loan for the modernization and improvement of intensive crop farms in the province of Almeria. In this facility, the bank offers €59.1 million.

The campaign, especially designed for this group of customer, will be in force until April 2020 and it should be highlighted that the loan capital and interests are repaid upon maturity. This allows clients to adapt the said maturity to the date on which they receive payment for the harvest.

The pre-approved loans stand out for the agility in their granting, and allow the bank to meet the financing needs of farmers, for them to have quick and easy access to the pre-approved amount for the investments and expenses required at the beginning of the season. The granting of the offered financing is subject to the bank’s criterion.

This campaign, designed to cover the particular needs of the fruit and vegetable sector, with special interest in greenhouse farming, is especially relevant in certain areas of Andalusia. It intends to cover the funding needs both for the purchase of supplies and for the acquisition of technology or improvements in irrigation structures and systems.

Unicaja Banco continues to be a financial institution that supports agriculture. This support is reflected in the ongoing adaptation of its products to the needs of farmers and companies of the sector (fruit and vegetable traders, supplies, plastics and other ancillary industries), with the creation of a wide range of specialized financial products and services with interesting conditions, covering intensive crops, arable crops, olive grove, industrial crops, vineyards or livestock crops, as well as agri-food industry and trading companies.

These are some of Unicaja Banco’s ‘Intensive Crops’ 2019-2020 campaign products:
