Unicaja Banco has entered into a collaboration agreement with the University of Malaga (UMA) under which students, teachers, researchers and administration and service staff, and the academic institution itself, will benefit from advantageous conditions. The agreement falls within the bank’s commitment to higher education, reflected in the different financial products and services for the university community, as well as in its close relation to Malaga.

Under this financial collaboration agreement executed today by the Chairman of Unicaja Banco, Manuel Azuaga, and by the Chancellor of the University of Malaga, José Ángel Narváez, the bank puts at the disposal of the university community (more than 37,000 students and 4,500 employees, including teachers, researchers and administration and service staff) a specific comprehensive service, to facilitate and improve the development of its management and activities.

Regarding products and services for students, Unicaja Banco offers a full and competitive offer in specific financing for studies, covering the payment of tuition fees, the advance payment of student grants or loans for postgraduate studies. Young people aged between 18 and 27 also have access to Fee Free products, such as the young account and Contactless MasterCard debit card, or mobile apps services such as Unicaja Móvil and UniPay Bizum (www.unicajabanco.es/es/particulares/ciclo-de-vida-financiera/estudios).

Specific loans are also included, like the Young Loan, of up to 18,000 euros and for people aged between 18 and 35; the First Company Loan, also with a limit of 18,000 euros to finance up to 80% of the investment, or microcredits to promote self-employment and launch viable business projects, of up to 25,000 euros to finance up to 90% of the presented initiative.

For teachers, researchers and administration and service staff, Unicaja Banco offers the advantages of the Salary Service, such as the possibility of salary advance and account overdraft at no cost, no fees, rebates in personal and mortgage loans and special financing conditions with the Salary Loan. They will also have discounts in insurances and a free service of SMS notices (www.unicajabanco.es/es/particulares/servicios/domiciliaciones-y-pagos/servicio-nomina).

The University of Malaga, as an institution, will also have benefit from this agreement, both in terms of deposits and financing transactions and other services. Specifically, Unicaja Banco collaborates in the management of the collection of tuition fees at its branches and ATMs.

Within the framework of its commitment to society in general and its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in particular, Unicaja Banco wants to continue supporting the dissemination of knowledge carried out by the UMA, a space for reflection, research, training and knowledge transfer.
