The Bank also participates in the sponsorship of the Christmas lights of the main commercial streets of the city.
Unicaja Banco has reached an agreement with the Federación del Comercio y Servicios de Valladolid (Fecosva) and with the Agrupación Vallisoletana de Comercio (Avadeco) to sponsor the Christmas campaign that the sector is going to launch in December and the first week of January. Under this agreement, the Bank will participate in the activities carried out to promote shopping in traditional businesses during Christmas season, through its collaboration in the sponsorship of the Christmas lights and the so called Wishing Tree, installed in the city’s Plaza Mayor.
The agreement has been signed by Unicaja Banco’s Regional Manager, Manuel Rubio, and by the presidents of Fecosva and Avadeco, Francisco Javier Labarga and Alejandro García Pellitero.
Valladolid Plaza Mayor becomes a huge Christmas scene from 1 December to 6 January, with a merry-go-round, a Nativity scene, Santa Claus’ throne chair, a Christmas train and a big Wishing Tree, around which an activity to promote traditional shopping is organized.
In the last years, Valladolid retail traditional shops join to organize a series of initiatives to promote shopping at their businesses. With any purchase higher than 6 euros, customers get a ticket to be completed with their personal details and which can be put in the Wishing Tree, to enter several giveaways of money prizes to be spent in the city’s shops.
This year, the new tree will have a 13 meter diameter, and the inside can be visited. A photocall of the Three Wise Men will be installed next to it, for visitors to enjoy.
