Unicaja Banco renews its agreement with the Spanish Association of Tropical Fruit Growers, to benefit nearly 400 growers

Unicaja Banco has entered into an agreement, for the second consecutive year, with the Asociación Española de Productores de Frutas Tropicales (Spanish Association of Tropical Fruits Growers), to benefit around 400 growers from all the country. Under the agreement, the bank offers a specific integral service, on advantageous terms for the owners of farms.

Unicaja Banco puts at the disposal of the members of this association a series of products which have been specifically designed to meet their professional needs, and it offers financing facilities to help them to improve their activities and to enhance their business management.

 

This collaboration falls within the ongoing support given by Unicaja Banco to the business fabric and to the agricultural sector in particular, as well as within its interest in promoting the economic development and job creation in the areas where it operates.

 

Unicaja Banco has entered into an agreement, for the second consecutive year, with the Asociación Española de Productores de Frutas Tropicales (Spanish Association of Tropical Fruit Growers), to benefit around 400 growers from all the country. Under the agreement, the Unicaja Banco offers a specific integral financial service, on advantageous terms for the owners of farms, most of them from Mediterranean and Southern Spain.

 

Unicaja Banco puts at the disposal of the members of this association products which have been specifically designed to meet their professional needs, customized attention for any service of the bank’s range of products, and it offers financing facilities on advantageous terms to improve their activities and to enhance their business management.

 

This collaboration falls within the ongoing support given by Unicaja Banco to the business fabric and to the agricultural sector in particular, as a key driver in job creation, as well as within the bank’s interest in promoting the economic development in the areas where it operates.

 

The new agreement has been signed by Unicaja Banco’s Regional Manager in Malaga, José Manuel Alba Torres, and by the President of the Asociación Española de Productores de Frutas Tropicales, José Linares Pérez.

 

The range of Unicaja Banco’s financial products and services intends to meet the needs of the association members and to improve their activities. The main features of the agreement are:

 

- Financing for farming activities: loans for the general farming campaign, agricultural financing credit account and loans for farming investments.

 

- Other financing transactions for farming activities: loans for the advance reception of agricultural aids, loans for intensive cultivations, Univerde card, acquisition of farms, loans for plastics for greenhouses, greenhouse loans, and loans for the acquisition of farm machinery.

 

- Other products and services: Zero Plan for Farming Professionals, digital banking, Loyalty loans and mortgages, investment funds and pension plans.

 

Asociación Española de Productores de Frutas Tropicales

 

The Asociación Española de Productores de Frutas Tropicales (Spanish Association of Tropical Fruit Growers) (http://asociaciondetropicales.com), with headquarters in Torre del Mar (Vélez-Málaga), was established in 2013 and it gathers nearly 400 producers, most of them from Mediterranean and Southern Spain.  The group has around 3,200 hectares of production of tropical fruits, of which 350 are ecological productions.

 

Among its goals it includes contributing to the improvement and modernization of exploitations, getting their own origin denomination, better pursuing the interests of growers, training and advising producers, fostering research and development of these cultivations and promoting campaigns for the consumption of these fruits.
