Unicaja and the Bishopric of Ciudad Real have renewed their financial collaboration agreement, which will enable more than 160 parishes and institutions within the diocese to access funding and other banking services tailored to their needs.

The agreement was signed at the Bishopric’s headquarters by the Bishop of Ciudad Real, Abilio Martínez, and Unicaja’s regional manager for Castilla-La Mancha, Almudena Noheda.

Under the agreement, Unicaja is providing loans for the renovation or construction of new churches, parish complexes, parish accommodation and other centres, as well as for the purchase of land, furniture or equipment.

Furthermore, parishes and institutions linked to the diocese will be able to access, through Unicaja’s network of branches, financial products and services designed to facilitate their day-to-day management.

The agreement is set to benefit more than 160 parishes and institutions within the diocese, including organisations such as Caritas, the Seminary, Missions, Manos Unidas, Centro de Orientación Familiar, Instituto de Teología and Casa Sacerdotal.

With this renewal, Unicaja supports the Bishopric of Ciudad Real and the organisations within the diocese by providing financial solutions designed to facilitate the running of their activities.

Close ties with Ciudad Real and its institutions

“Unicaja, committed to the needs of the province of Ciudad Real, wishes to stand alongside institutions which, like the Bishopric, play a vital role in numerous areas of our province’s social life,” emphasised Almudena Noheda.

“We want to support the institutions in Ciudad Real that carry out important work for society, offering them financial solutions tailored to their needs,” said Almudena Noheda.

Unicaja’s regional manager for Castilla-La Mancha also highlighted “the importance of maintaining a close relationship with institutions, businesses and individuals in order to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions, particularly in regions with which Unicaja has close ties”.
