Unicaja and the Federación de Empresarios de la Comarca de Puertollano (FEPU) have signed a collaboration agreement to facilitate access to finance and strengthen the operations of businesses, self-employed individuals and entrepreneurs in the region.
The agreement, signed at the Federation’s headquarters in Puertollano by Unicaja’s regional manager for Castilla-La Mancha, Almudena Noheda, and the president of FEPU, David Guarnizo, in the presence of Unicaja’s area manager for Ciudad Real, Rocío Villa, sets out specific terms for financial products and services for members.
Specifically, Unicaja is providing FEPU with a comprehensive service that includes financing for investments and business projects, support for foreign trade, and solutions for the day-to-day running of companies. The offering includes, amongst other options, international financing, guarantees, access to Next Generation funds, equipment leasing and vehicle hire purchase.
The agreement also provides for management tools such as accounts, collection and payment services, insurance, pension schemes and digital banking tailored to business activities, with the aim of facilitating day-to-day operations in an environment that is increasingly demanding in terms of liquidity and efficiency.
In addition, employees of FEPU and its member companies will be able to access specific terms on the bank’s products, covering financing, payment methods, savings and protection.
As Almudena Noheda emphasised, “our close relationship with our customers defines the way we work at Unicaja. In the business sector, we provide ongoing support that enables us to tailor our solutions to the needs of each company and offer them tools that drive their development”.
“This agreement with FEPU enables us to strengthen our ties and continue to contribute effectively to the growth, innovation and competitiveness of businesses in the Puertollano region,” she added.
For his part, David Guarnizo emphasised that “this agreement represents an important step towards continuing to support businesses, the self-employed and entrepreneurs in Puertollano and the surrounding region, by facilitating their access to finance and tools that enable them to undertake new investments, improve their competitiveness and manage their day-to-day operations more efficiently”.
The president of FEPU emphasised that “at the Federation, we work to offer our members services and opportunities that meet their real needs. The partnership with Unicaja extends this support and also benefits the employees of FEPU and its member companies”.
Guarnizo also expressed his gratitude for “Unicaja’s closeness to and commitment to the business community in our region” and stressed that “cooperation between financial institutions and business organisations is essential for boosting economic activity, promoting job creation and contributing to the future of our region”.

The agreement is part of Unicaja’s strategy to support businesses, the self-employed and professionals, one of the priorities set out in its 2025–2027 Strategic Plan. With a specialised range of services and a customer-focused approach, the bank seeks to meet the needs of each segment with tailored solutions, whilst adhering to prudent risk management criteria.
In line with this, Unicaja recently collaborated with FEPU to mark its 40th anniversary and the 25th anniversary of its Joint Prevention Service, celebrated during the 21st Business Awards Ceremony.
The Puertollano Business Federation (FEPU), established on 21 January 1986, aims to promote local economic activity and strengthen business cohesion in Puertollano and the surrounding region through various initiatives geared towards the development of the local business sector.
