More than 20,000 people attended the LOS40 POP concert held this Wednesday at the ‘La Peraleda’ fairgrounds in Toledo to enjoy songs by Nil Moliner, Walls, Chiara Oliver and Adexe y Nau. This was one of the musical events organised to mark the Corpus Christi celebrations in the city, organised by LOS40 Toledo in collaboration with the Town Hall’s Youth and Festivities departments, and sponsored by Unicaja.
On Sunday, 7 June, also with the support of the bank, the Radiolé Toledo Corpus Festival will take place, featuring a musical line-up combining pop and flamenco. Artists such as Raya Real, Carmen Lemos, David Barrull, El Tren de los Sueños, Fran Flores, Gonzalo Alhambra, Javier Belizón, La Década Prodigiosa, Palomy López, Por Camela and Tamara will take to the stage. The event will be presented by Radiolé presenter Gema Castaño.
Meanwhile, the LOS40 POP concert was presented and hosted by Tony Aguilar, one of the most recognisable voices on music radio in Spain. Between performances, he livened up the festival with musical hits, ranging from current tracks such as Rosalía’s ‘La Perla’ to 90s classics like Gala’s ‘Freed From Desire’.
The first to kick off the festival were Tony Grox & LucyCalys, who received a great response from the audience with ‘Te Amaré’, followed by Daniela Blasco, one of the most promising artists of the moment. Enol took to the stage with ‘Un beso a la mitad’ and ‘Luciérnagas’, giving way to Samuraï, with an intense, rock-style performance.
Depol, following his a cappella rendition of ‘Quién diría’ – after a problem with his microphone – and a set of his most recent hits, managed to win over the audience completely. The energy continued to build with Ruslana, the Canarian duo Adexe y Nau and Chiara Oliver, before moving on to the headliners: Walls and, finally, Nil Moliner. The Catalan artist brought the concert to a close with songs such as ‘Me acuerdo de ti’, ‘Libertad’, ‘Soldadito de hierro’, and capped off a night of music with ‘Tu cuerpo en braille’.
