Unicaja and Asturgar SGR have renewed their partnership agreement with the aim of continuing to facilitate access to finance on preferential terms for the self-employed, entrepreneurs, micro-enterprises and SMEs in Asturias. The agreement also broadens the scope of both organisations’ activities by introducing new, specific loan facilities designed to meet working capital needs and support the activities of the self-employed through the ‘AutónomÁgil’ programme.
The agreement was signed by Unicaja’s Northern regional manager, Iñaki Pradera, and the president of Asturgar SGR, David González.
Thanks to this collaboration, businesses and self-employed individuals guaranteed by Asturgar will be able to access a wide range of financial solutions on favourable terms, designed both to undertake new investments and to strengthen their liquidity and meet the needs arising from their day-to-day activities. Among the products included in the agreement are investment loans, working capital financing, equipment leasing and the new specific lines incorporated in this renewal.
The agreement also incorporates the ‘AutónomÁgil’ programme, a tool designed to provide swift and tailored responses to the financing needs of the self-employed, one of the most significant groups within the Asturian business community.
Unicaja’s Northern regional manager noted that “SMEs and the self-employed are the driving force behind the Asturian economy. With this renewal, we are reinforcing our commitment to supporting them at every stage of their growth, facilitating access to finance so they can invest, innovate and tackle new challenges with greater confidence”.
“The introduction of new working capital facilities and the ‘AutónomÁgil’ programme strengthens our ability to meet the real needs of the self-employed and small businesses, helping to boost economic activity and employment in Asturias,” said Pradera.
For his part, the president of Asturgar, David González, emphasised that “the renewal of this agreement reaffirms both organisations’ commitment to the economic development of Asturias and to strengthening its business fabric. The aim is to enable businesses and the self-employed to take on new projects, improve their competitiveness, drive innovation and sustainability, and generate economic activity and employment”.
The collaboration between Unicaja and Asturgar is part of both organisations’ commitment to facilitating access to finance for SMEs and the self-employed, groups that are fundamental to the creation of wealth and employment in the region.
With Asturgar’s guarantee, businesses can improve their access to credit and benefit from financial instruments tailored to their needs, whilst Unicaja reinforces its role as a financial institution closely linked to Asturias’ productive sector, supporting businesses and entrepreneurs in their growth and consolidation projects.
Businesses in general, and SMEs and the self-employed in particular, are key targets of Unicaja’s financing policy. In this regard, the bank provides support to these groups, which are crucial for boosting the economy and creating jobs
