Last Tuesday, FADE, in collaboration with Unicaja, held an information session on mandatory electronic invoicing for businesses and professionals, during which it briefed attendees on recent regulatory changes in this area.

Electronic invoicing has become a regulatory obligation with a direct impact on the financial operations of businesses and professionals in Spain. This obligation does not merely entail a change in the format of invoices issued, but requires a review of processes, systems and procedures to ensure interoperability, traceability and compliance with the new requirements.

Against this backdrop, the aim of the seminar was to provide a clear overview of the regulations and their practical implications for businesses and professionals.

During his presentation, Alfonso Álvarez, a lawyer, tax adviser and partner at Llana Consultores, outlined the legal framework and the implementation timetable for mandatory electronic invoicing.

Unicaja’s support for this event forms part of the close and long-standing relationship the bank maintains with FADE and its member companies. This collaboration is based on a shared objective: to support the business community in its adaptation and growth processes and to contribute to the economic and social development of Asturias, a region with which Unicaja maintains very close ties.
