Unicaja has signed a collaboration agreement with the Asociación Comercio Activo de Mancha Real (Jaén) with the aim of supporting the development of the municipality’s commercial sector, providing its members with access to financing and financial and non-financial services tailored to their needs.

This agreement will enable professionals, self-employed individuals and SMEs that are members of the association to access solutions tailored to their business needs on preferential terms, helping to improve their competitiveness and growth potential.

The agreement also includes tools designed to optimise day-to-day business management, such as collection and payment services, digital solutions and specialised products for commercial activities, which promote greater efficiency and advance their digitalisation

With this agreement, Unicaja reinforces its support for businesses and companies in Mancha Real, facilitating the development of their investments and strategic projects and contributing to the growth of the local and provincial economy.

The agreement was signed by Unicaja’s Jaén area manager, Vicente Nieves, and by the president of the Asociación Comercio Activo de Mancha Real, Caridad de la Hoz.

Speaking on behalf of Unicaja, the Jaén area manager emphasised that this agreement “reinforces the bank’s commitment to the business community in Mancha Real, particularly local shops, which we aim to support with solutions tailored to their actual needs”.

For her part, the president of the Asociación Comercio Activo stated that “this agreement represents an important step in continuing to support our local businesses, the self-employed and SMEs, offering them useful tools to help them grow, improve their day-to-day management and tackle new challenges. We would like to thank Unicaja for its involvement and support for local businesses and, in particular, Susana Garrido, manager of the Mancha Real branch, for her approachability, willingness to help and commitment to our association and to the businesses in our town.”

Unicaja's commitment to the business community

Businesses in general, and SMEs in particular, remain key groups in Unicaja financing policy, as set out in its 2025–2027 Strategic Plan. To this end, it works to offer retailers, the self-employed and business owners, through an omnichannel service, the financial solutions best suited to their needs.
