Unicaja and the Asociación de Comerciantes Industriales, Servicios y Autónomos (Acisa) de Ribadeo (Lugo) have entered into a collaboration agreement with the aim of supporting and strengthening the local business community.

This partnership will provide members with access to a specific range of financial and non-financial products and services tailored to their needs, including financing, liquidity and investment solutions, designed to improve the management of their businesses and boost their growth.

Unicaja makes this range of services available through both its extensive branch network and its digital channels, designed to meet the specific needs of SMEs and the self-employed.

The agreement was signed by Unicaja’s head for Western and Southern Asturias, Ana María Lorenzana, and, on behalf of Acisa, its president, Carmen Cruzado.

Speaking on behalf of Unicaja, the head for Western and Southern Asturias highlighted the bank’s “firm commitment” to “the economic and social development of the regions where we are present , such as Ribadeo, which is a strategic municipality due to its role as a link between Galicia and Asturias and the significant role its port plays as a commercial hub”.

For this reason, she added, “supporting the Asociación de Comerciantes Industriales, Servicios y Autónomos de Ribadeo means, for us, contributing directly to the strengthening of the local commercial fabric and the promotion of initiatives that generate employment and wealth in the area, thereby retaining the population and consolidating a model of sustainable and community-based development”.

For her part, the president of Acisa stated that “we are pleased to continue signing agreements that offer advantageous terms for our members, providing them with benefits and supporting them in their day-to-day activities. Our business community is very important; we bring together 170 companies, and we want to continue offering them more services of interest”.

Unicaja's commitment to the business community

Businesses in general, and SMEs in particular, remain key groups in Unicaja’s financing policy, as set out in its 2025–2027 Strategic Plan. To this end, it works to offer retailers, the self-employed and business owners, through an omnichannel service, the financial solutions best suited to their needs.

The Asociación de Comerciantes Industriales, Servicios y Autónomos (Acisa) de Ribadeo was founded in 1989 and has 170 members.
