Unicaja and Asociación de Empresarios de Campollano (ADECA) have signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of strengthening support for the business community at the Campollano Business Park in Albacete, promoting innovation, digitalisation and improved competitiveness among its companies.

As the main initiative under this agreement, Unicaja will sponsor a series of practical workshops for companies in the park, aimed at identifying real opportunities for innovation and fostering business collaboration. These workshops will address key areas such as the application of artificial intelligence in industrial processes, the strategic use of data as a business asset, and the improvement of energy efficiency and sustainability.

The sessions will have a predominantly practical and collaborative focus, enabling participating companies to work on their own challenges, identify opportunities for improvement and explore potential joint projects. Expected outcomes include the identification of specific use cases, the generation of new shared lines of work and the promotion of cooperation initiatives between companies.

Furthermore, this series forms part of a broader strategy by ADECA to boost innovation at the Campollano Business Park, by providing spaces where companies can share knowledge, identify synergies and work together towards more efficient, sustainable and data-driven models.

The agreement was signed at ADECA’s headquarters by Unicaja’s regional manager for Castilla-La Mancha, Almudena Noheda, and ADECA’s president, Santos Prieto, alongside ADECA’s managing director, Miguel Ángel Cuartero, Unicaja’s area manager in Albacete, Emilio Jesús Valenciano, and the manager of the Albacete Centro Cívico branch, Gema Cuerda.

Commitment to business development

Speaking on behalf of Unicaja, Almudena Noheda, regional manager for Castilla-La Mancha, highlighted the importance of this agreement as part of the bank’s commitment to business development in the region: “We want to contribute to the economic progress of the areas where we operate by supporting initiatives that help modernise the productive fabric and generate new growth opportunities, and by making all our resources available to businesses and SMEs to facilitate this aim”.

For his part, ADECA’s managing director, Miguel Ángel Cuartero, has spoken very highly of this collaboration: “This agreement with Unicaja allows us to continue promoting valuable initiatives for our businesses, particularly in key areas such as innovation, digitalisation and efficiency – essential factors for the present and future of Campollano’s business sector.”

In this regard, it is worth highlighting initiatives such as the ‘AI for SMEs’ training programme, developed over the past year and co-funded by the European Union, the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy, and the INCYDE Foundation. “This type of project reflects the path we wish to follow, committing to the modernisation and continuous improvement of our businesses. That is why we are committed to collaboration and we thank the support of organisations such as Unicaja, which share our commitment to business development and the creation of new opportunities in our region,” he adds.
