Unicaja and the Malaga Medical Association (Colegio Oficial de Médicos de Málaga, Commálaga) have renewed their partnership agreement, thereby consolidating an alliance designed to support the work of these professionals in the province of Málaga.

Specifically, under this agreement, the bank is offering the more than 11,000 members of the Malaga Medical Association a wide range of financial and non-financial products and services, specifically designed to support their professional and personal lives.

The renewal of the agreement was signed by Unicaja’s regional manager in Málaga, Francisco José Reguera, and the president of the Málaga Medical Association, Pedro José Navarro, continuing a collaborative relationship that has grown stronger in recent years.

In this regard, Reguera emphasised that “at Unicaja, we remain committed to supporting medical professionals, a group that is essential to society, by offering tailored financial solutions that contribute to the development of their work and their stability”.

The Unicaja representative also noted that “this agreement reinforces our commitment to Málaga and its main professional groups, which are key to the province’s economic and social vitality”.

For his part, the president of the Medical Association highlighted the importance of both institutions continuing to work hand in hand after several decades of collaboration. “One of the highlights of this collaboration is the payment of the first year’s membership fees that the bank makes on behalf of young doctors. It is, without doubt, a great help at a crucial time, when they are starting out in the medical profession,” he added.

In addition to the benefits included in the agreement, there are other specific measures that Unicaja maintains for this group, stemming from the close collaboration between both organisations, such as the payment of the registration fee and the first year’s membership fees for new medical graduates, which facilitates the entry of young professionals into the medical profession.

Benefits for these professionals

Among the main benefits of the signed agreement are financing facilities for setting up practices, modernising premises or purchasing medical equipment, as well as solutions to meet day-to-day liquidity needs. Furthermore, members will have access to other specific products and services on preferential terms.

The renewal of this agreement forms part of Unicaja’s strategy to place the customer at the heart of its business, collaborating with professional and business organisations to boost employment, entrepreneurship and economic activity in Málaga, a province with which it maintains close ties.

For its part, the Malaga Medical Association, with over 145 years of history, brings together more than 11,000 doctors and is based in the capital, as well as having branches in various parts of the province (Álora, Antequera, Marbella, Ronda and Vélez-Málaga).
