Unicaja has signed a collaboration agreement with the Reimpulsa Vidas Foundation with the aim of promoting social inclusion and helping families in vulnerable situations move towards greater autonomy, through a model of personalised support.

The agreement provides for support for the programmes the foundation runs with families in need in the Community of Madrid, with a particular focus on the foundation’s social and labour inclusion and child protection programmes.

The agreement was signed by Unicaja’s head of Corporate Image, Sponsorship and Stakeholder Relations, Gemma Sotorres, and by the president of the Reimpulsa Vidas Foundation, Jorge Martínez.

During the signing, Gemma Sotorres emphasised the value of this partnership in reinforcing Unicaja’s commitment to equal opportunities and support for the most vulnerable groups, highlighting the importance of backing projects with a tangible and lasting social impact.

“Our aim is to ensure that no one is left behind. Agreements such as this allow us to support initiatives that generate real and measurable change, in line with the social action initiatives the organisation has been promoting and with the Sustainable Development Goals,” she emphasised.

For his part, Jorge Martínez noted that "the support of companies such as Unicaja for our projects enables us to support families with vulnerable children in the Community of Madrid, helping to stabilise and improve their lives. We are therefore very grateful for their collaboration and for the social change we are able to bring about through it".

Commitment to social inclusion

Unicaja’s support for the Reimpulsa Vidas Foundation is part of its sustainability policy and its commitment to social inclusion and equal opportunities, with a particular focus on groups at risk of vulnerability.

This partnership is also aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to reducing inequalities, gender equality and the promotion of education and social well-being.

All of this is in line with Unicaja’s universal banking model, which is approachable and accessible, places people at the heart of its strategy and constitutes one of the main pillars around which its current Strategic Plan is structured.

Reimpulsa Vidas Foundation

The Reimpulsa Vidas Foundation is a non-profit social organisation that has been working in the Community of Madrid since 2014 to support families with children at risk of social exclusion, with the aim of helping them regain their professional, economic and social independence so that they no longer require assistance in the medium term.

Its intervention model is comprehensive and time-bound, centred on three main pillars:

  • Employability and training, supporting parents through guidance, skills development and access to stable employment.
  • Child protection and development, with educational support, socio-educational support and cultural activities that broaden children’s future opportunities.
  • Ad hoc provision of basic needs, such as support with housing, utilities or food, to stabilise the family situation whilst they work towards self-sufficiency.

The foundation carries out its work using a methodology based on professional support, results measurement and transparency, and is accredited by independent bodies such as Fundación Lealtad.
