Unicaja and the Association of Professional and Business Women of Málaga (Amupema) have signed an agreement that will enable the more than 200 members of this provincial organisation to access preferential financial conditions, with the aim of supporting their activity and fostering the development and competitiveness of their projects.
Specifically, Amupema has joined the collaboration agreement established between Unicaja and the Confederation of Employers of Málaga (CEM), thereby extending the scope of this cooperation framework to women entrepreneurs, business owners and professionals across the province.
The agreement, signed by Unicaja’s Regional Manager for Málaga Centro Oriental, Marisol Pérez Gavilán, and the newly appointed President of Amupema, María del Mar Solís Martín, will provide members with access to a tailored portfolio of financial and non-financial products and services adapted to their needs. These include financing, liquidity and investment solutions aimed at improving business management and strengthening growth.
This offering will be available through Unicaja’s extensive branch network as well as its digital channels, designed to meet the specific needs of entrepreneurs, SMEs and self-employed professionals.
As highlighted by Pérez Gavilán, “this collaboration demonstrates Unicaja’s commitment to Málaga’s business community and, in particular, to promoting female entrepreneurship as a key driver of diversification and strengthening of the local economy.”
In this regard, the bank provides new tools that “help consolidate their initiatives and enable them to face the challenges of the current economic environment with greater confidence,” she stated, while also praising “the work carried out by Amupema in representing and promoting the interests of its members, fostering association and contributing to strengthening the role of women in the economic and business sphere.”
For her part, the President of Amupema noted that this agreement with Unicaja “is essential to provide our members with tailored financial resources, thereby supporting the growth of their businesses and reinforcing the strategic role of women entrepreneurs in Málaga’s economic development.”
Both organisations emphasise the importance of generating synergies that promote equal opportunities in the business environment, as well as the need to continue fostering initiatives that enhance competitiveness and sustainability within the business fabric
Solutions tailored to the business community
Through this initiative, Unicaja continues to advance its objective of supporting the business community in its development, providing tools that contribute to improving its capacity for investment, innovation and job creation, always within the framework of its 2025–2027 Strategic Plan and its sustainability policy.
Amupema, for its part, brings together entrepreneurs, professionals and businesswomen from various sectors with the aim of promoting female entrepreneurship, fostering women’s business leadership and strengthening their presence within the economic fabric of the province of Málaga.
