On Tuesday, Unicaja brought together the operational teams and business networks of Asturias, Cantabria and other neighbouring areas in Oviedo to share the progress of the 2025-2027 Strategic Plan in its first year of implementation, as well as the challenges and priorities for the coming years. Around 200 employees participated in this meeting.

The event, led by Unicaja's chairman, José Sevilla, and CEO, Isidro Rubiales, accompanied by the heads of various key areas for the development of the plan, is part of a series of internal meetings that the bank is holding in different cities to communicate the progress of its strategic planning.

In fact, they allow the results achieved to date to be highlighted, both in terms of strengthened commercial activity and improved organisational capabilities.

These meetings also aim to reinforce customer and employee focus and align teams with the priorities defined for this second year of implementation.

During today's session, senior management presented the progress made in areas such as digital transformation, improving the customer experience and promoting sustainable business growth, both in retail banking and in corporate banking.

This meeting in Oviedo is the first of several that will take place this week in other parts of Spain to consolidate a universal banking model that is accessible and open to all, with particular leadership in its home territories.

In their speeches, both the chairman of Unicaja and the CEO highlighted the importance of counting on operational and business teams to ensure the proper implementation of the Strategic Plan's objectives.

José Sevilla insisted that "sharing the progress of the Strategic Plan with the professionals in the commercial network is key to consolidating a common project and strengthening our position in the territories".

For his part, Isidro Rubiales stated that "these conferences allow us to align priorities, listen to the teams and accelerate the implementation of initiatives that should drive the bank's growth".

Customers: at the heart of the strategy

With this initiative, Unicaja reaffirms its commitment to direct and close communication with its teams as a fundamental lever for advancing the implementation of the 2025-2027 Strategic Plan, which places customers and territories at the centre of its activities.

The Strategic Plan aims to consolidate Unicaja as a universal bank, close and open to all, driving sustained profitability and building capabilities to ensure a bank of the future with leadership in its home territories.
