Unicaja has renewed its AENOR ISO 45001 certification in Occupational Health and Safety. This seal is an international recognition that accredits the bank’s excellence in managing the health and safety of its staff.

Its renewal reinforces Unicaja's commitment to a culture of prevention, actively involving the entire workforce. For the organisation, advancing prevention and adopting measures that promote safe working environments is a priority.

AENOR's ISO 45001 certification is a global benchmark for organisations seeking to optimise occupational health and safety management, becoming more effective and efficient, reducing accidents and illnesses, and increasing operational capacity.

Unicaja's Head of People and Talent, Esther Jaime, highlighted the importance of the certification received from AENOR, which reaffirms that "at Unicaja, the protection of people is a fundamental pillar of its management strategy, aimed at ensuring a safe working environment".

She also highlighted that the organisation has an Occupational Risk Prevention Policy that reflects "our commitment to safety, occupational health and the prevention of occupational risks".

For her part, AENOR's Corporate Director of People and Organisation, Susana Pedrero, pointed out that "organisations such as Unicaja maintaining their commitment to management systems that reinforce safety and health at work demonstrates a solid commitment to good practices and continuous improvement. The renewal of AENOR's ISO 45001 certification reinforces the mature preventive approach that provides additional guarantees to both Unicaja's staff and its other stakeholders, providing the confidence that underpins rigorously managed work environments focused on health and safety."
