Unicaja and Avalmadrid, the leading mutual guarantee society (SGR) in the Community of Madrid, have signed a collaboration agreement to facilitate access to financing for SMEs and the self-employed through the launch of a credit line of up to €25 million.

The agreement will allow beneficiaries to access financing on advantageous terms, through a 100% joint guarantee provided by Avalmadrid. The operations may be used for both investment and working capital, and will be offered in forms such as loans or equipment leasing, with terms of up to 15 and eight years, respectively. There are no application or cancellation fees

The agreement will have an initial duration of one year, renewable annually through addenda. All SMEs and self-employed persons registered with Avalmadrid will be eligible for this special line of credit.

The regional manager of Madrid and Expansion at Unicaja, José Luis Álvarez, stated that "with this collaboration, we want to contribute to the business momentum of Madrid, channelling financing under accessible and secure conditions for SMEs and the self-employed, who are the real driving force behind our economy". "Precisely, the commitment to these professionals responds to our activity as a financial institution that is close to its customers, with the customer at the centre of its strategy and with the aim of playing a significant role in promoting regional development," he stressed.

For his part, the managing director of Avalmadrid, Lorenzo Alonso, pointed out that "this agreement reflects our commitment to playing an active role in boosting Madrid's economic fabric. With the support of institutions such as Unicaja, we continue to expand financing opportunities for companies that generate employment, invest and sustain growth in the region."

This agreement reaffirms the role of Unicaja and Avalmadrid as key players in Madrid's financial system, promoting solutions tailored to the real needs of businesses. With this alliance, access to credit is facilitated and a more competitive, resilient and inclusive environment for business development is promoted.
