Unicaja has once again confirmed its support for the Association of Business Owners and Professionals-Centre for Tourism Initiatives (CIT) of Marbella, through its collaboration, as a sponsoring entity, in the celebration of the 25th edition of this group's Business Awards.

The awards ceremony took place on Friday, 28 November, at a gala held at the Puente Romano Beach Resort & Spa Marbella, where the most outstanding business owner/institution, as well as the most outstanding tourism promotion and business innovation initiatives of 2025 in the town, were recognised. The event was attended by Unicaja's regional manager in Malaga, Francisco José Reguera, representing the bank.

On this occasion, the Business Owner of the Year Award went to Gastón Aigneren, one of the leading figures in the residential real estate sector in Spain and founder of the company Exxacon Smart Living, with more than 25 years of experience in the field of development and construction and a key player in the real estate development of Marbella and the Costa del Sol.

For its part, the non-profit association BUILDING THE FUTURE won the award in the Best Institution category. Since its creation in 2019, this initiative has brought together professionals from the Costa del Sol real estate sector with the aim of raising funds to improve the living conditions of children in Uganda and to support various local associations that work mainly with children with different abilities in the Costa del Sol area.

Likewise, the Luis Cierco Special Award for Tourism Promotion in Marbella was given to IRONMAN Group, promoter of, among other events, the IRONMAN 70.3 Marbella World Championship; while the Business Innovation Award went to the advertising and marketing agency Pura Envidia, created by local entrepreneurs who are committed to promoting talent, creativity and innovation, with the aim of helping other companies to be more efficient and profitable.

Support from Unicaja

Unicaja's support for this CIT Marbella initiative is part of the close collaborative relationship that both institutions have maintained for two decades, and, specifically, of the bank's interest in promoting the business fabric and sectors that drive economic development and employment in its area of activity, particularly in this municipality on the Costa del Sol.

It also reflects the financial institution's commitment to supporting the activities of business owners and entrepreneurs, in Andalusia in general and in Malaga and its province in particular, as key elements in boosting the economy and creating employment in these areas.

CIT Marbella

Founded in 1989, the Association of Business Owners and Professionals-CIT Marbella is an organisation committed to the economic and business fabric and the promotion of the Marbella-Costa del Sol brand as a first-class tourist destination.
